I was very happy to donate my marrow to my brother Stanley in March 2002 and March 2003. There was a 25% chance that I would be a match. That is why not all brothers and sisters can be a match. The operation took two hours. I was sore for about three days and after that I was fine. My marrow took about one week to come back.
