Our New York Experience

On 6th March 2002 we left Brisbane to go to New York. We stayed for 6 months the first time while Stanley had his first bone marrow transplant. When Stanley got better after a few months we saw some of the places around New York. Stanley had to stay in the apartment for 3 months so we did not get out much. We left in September 2002 but had to return in November 2002. We spent another 5 months in New York until April 2003.

Above: Jan 2003- This is my 9th Birthday cake. I have a party in New York . Above: Jan 2003- Like many American birthday parties we had a pinyianna. Here I am pretending to be a pinyianna  Above: This is Stanley and I Christmas Eve 2002
Above: March 2002- This is my family and me at the Waldorf Astoria. We went there before Stanley's transplant Above: March 2002- This is a photo of Stanley and me at Times Square Above: May 2002- The Greek Independence Parade was held in 5th Avenue right next to Central Park in Manhattan. Many schools were in the float. There was also a tribute to the Greek Americans who dies in the Twin Tower collapse

Above: April 2002- After I had recovered from my operation I got my hair braided. This is also the view from from the apartment. In the top left you can see the Empire State Building Above: April 2002- When Stanley got back from Hospital we celebrated. It was the first time I had been with him in 28 days
